    Send the fish line, size, sex, quantity and destination country. The clearer the request, the faster our farm team can check availability.

    We Check Current Availability

    Our farm team checks availability when the request is received. Fish vary from batch to batch, so the answer applies only at the time it is confirmed.

    We Net and Film the Fish

    When suitable fish are available, our team nets and films the current lot so the buyer can review their visible appearance and behaviour before deciding.

    We Quote and Agree the Terms

    The quote is per fish and tied to the line, size, sex and quantity offered. Shipping arrangements and the DOA reporting window are confirmed in writing for each order. If an eligible arrival issue occurs, the buyer may choose a refund for the value of the eligible fish or credit for that same amount toward the next order.

What Should a Clear Quote Include?

A line name alone is not enough for a price comparison. The quote must be tied to the actual fish, the time availability was checked and the terms of the specific order.

Line, Body Shape and Colour

State the line name and the main visible characteristics of the fish.

Size, Sex and Quantity

State the size, sex where identified, and quantity available at the time of the reply.

Per-Fish Price and Quote Validity

The price is tied to the fish offered, the quantity requested and the terms of the order. Availability and pricing are reconfirmed for each enquiry.

Representative Images Do Not Replace a Video of the Offered Fish.

Line images help identify the phenotype, but they do not replace video of the fish being offered. When a buyer asks about a line, VIET MOLLY checks the actual fish at its own farm, films them on request and quotes for the fish available at that time.

What Do We Check Before Packing?

Our farm team checks visible appearance and behaviour, and removes unsuitable fish from the lot. Any additional selection criteria must be agreed separately for the specific order.

Body shape

Balloon mollies are bred short. Look for a body that is round and even on both flanks rather than swollen on one side; the exact body-shape criteria are agreed for each order.

Fins

The fins should appear intact and open, without visible splits or ragged edges. Torn, frayed or clamped fins are a reason to check condition, environment and handling history further; fins alone do not identify the cause.

Colour coverage

Look at how far the colour carries along the body and whether it fades behind the head. The specific colour criteria are agreed for each order.

Visible structural issues

Look at the body, eyes and gill covers for visible structural differences. Images do not establish the cause or whether a trait is inherited; fish that do not meet the agreed criteria must be removed from the lot.

Arrival and DOA Policy

Always record one continuous video before opening the box. If fish are dead or visibly injured inside still-sealed bags when the box is opened, the video must show the unopened box, its seals, every unopened bag and the number of affected fish. Report the issue to VIET MOLLY as soon as the shipment arrives, within the reporting window agreed when the order was confirmed. Once the evidence is verified, the buyer may choose either a refund for the value of the eligible fish or credit for that same amount toward the next order. Only eligible fish are covered; the full order is not refunded. Replacement fish may be arranged when suitable for the shipment and will be discussed case by case. This policy does not apply if the required continuous video is missing, the report is late, or the fish weaken or die after a bag is opened, during acclimation or after release into the buyer's own tanks or ponds.

When your box arrives

Five steps on your side, from the moment the box arrives.

Check your order instructions and record the required evidence

Start one continuous video before opening the box. Show the unopened box and its seals, then every unopened bag and the number of fish that are dead or visibly injured inside still-sealed bags. Do not stop the recording, open a bag first or recreate the video later. Contact VIET MOLLY as soon as the shipment arrives, within the reporting window agreed when the order was confirmed.

Check the bags first, then decide whether to float

Check whether any bag is leaking, whether the fish look abnormal, and the water temperature in the bag. Whether to float the bags, and for how long, depends on transit time, the temperature difference and the instructions for your order; there is no fixed 15–20-minute rule.

Acclimate by the plan confirmed for your order

Whether to open the bags and mix in tank water, how fast and for how long depends on the condition in the bag, the receiving tank's temperature and pH, and the transit time. Do not apply a fixed 15–20-minute mixing routine to every shipment.

Transfer the fish, keep transport water out

If the plan for your order calls for it, move the fish with a net or a suitable container into the prepared observation tank. Unless both sides have agreed otherwise, do not pour the transport water into the receiving tank.

Observe and record

Keep light and disturbance low and watch breathing, swimming and any abnormal individuals. When to feed, whether to isolate, and when to move fish to a community tank depends on the plan confirmed for your order and on the fish's actual condition; then let us know how the box arrived.

What is the minimum order?

Send the line, size, sex and quantity you need. We will confirm what is available, film the lot and provide a per-fish quote for that order. Quantity is confirmed case by case.

How do you ship?

We pack live fish in oxygen-filled bags inside insulated boxes and ship by air cargo. Route, timing, evidence and arrival terms are agreed in writing for each order before payment.

How do I pay?

Agreed per order before packing.

What if fish arrive dead?

If fish are dead or visibly injured inside still-sealed bags when the box is opened, the video must show the unopened box, its seals, every unopened bag and the number of affected fish.
